What we will learn this week! - Letter sounds- Aa (Δ, Γ
, AH) - Allie Alligator, Bb (b) Bubba Bear, Cc (k,s) Catina Cat, Dd (d) DeeDee Deer, Ee (Δ,e) Ellie Elephant, Ff (f) Francie fish, Gg (g,j) Gordo Gorlia, Hh (h) Honey Horse, Ii (i,Δ«) Inny Inchworm, Jj (j) Jerry Jellyfish, Kk (k) Kayo Kangaroo, Ll (l) Lizzy Lizard, Mm (mm) Missy Mouse, Ann (n) Nigal Night Owl, Oo (o,Ε,Oo) Olive Octopuse, Pp (p) Peewee Penglyn
- Numbers- 1-35 emphasis on teen family.
- Shape- oval
- Writing skills- Name writing the kindergarten way. Using tweezers to strengthen hand muscles.
- Math- spatial reasoning, and color sorting.
- Theme - pumpkins and fall colors
- Bible lesson- The Parable of the Lost Sheep with this parable and corresponding lessons we will learn that we should follow Jesus, trusting him as sheep trust their shepherd. Here is a super cute video that shows a Shepard finding his lost sheep.
- Bible Verse- "The lord is my shepherd" Psalm 23:1
Forgiveness is such a wonderful thing. God forgives if we are truly sorry, the angels rejoice when we,the lost sheep, are found and return to our shepherd!!!
Just some reminders for the week...
- Show and Tell is Friday Please have your child bring something that starts with O and P. Look around and let your child find something with the beginning sounds. (PLEASE no violent toys or 'weapons')
- Please feel free to send your child with a water bottle labeled with their name (water only please).
- WE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR ADDITIONS TO ZOO PHONICS ANIMAL COLLECTION!!! We have some awesome parents that are helping us find these stuffed animals THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! Here is a picture of what we have so far...
We still need D,I,J,M,Q,S,U,V,W,Y,ZWe are so close!!! - Remember to read to your child every day!! Reading is such a nice way to wind down and bond with your child. Take the time and unplug, spend quality time with your child... They won't be little for long!
